Central Coast Safety Training and consulting has been providing safety courses to our local businesses from Paso Robles to Santa Barbara.
Central Coast Safety Training started in 1994 when The City of Santa Barbara asked their Fire Department staff if they could help train safety for city staff and hold on-duty public CPR courses at Station #1 in 1994. Since then many of us have retired to continue providing our experience and expertise to Health Care Providers, Construction Companies, Schools, Wineries, Community Municipal Districts and the Hospitality Industry for almost 30 years.
This is Sarah from Dr. E office in Arroyo Grande. You did our CPR class a couple of weeks ago. I just wanted to tell you I used it on a 2 ½ year old child that was pulled out of the pool unresponsive and not breathing. He woke up while I was doing chest compressions and he then vomited up all this water, just like in the video you showed us. It was my first time taking a CPR class and as you might remember I wasn’t thrilled I had to stay for it but I am so glad that I did. The timing was Amazing. A huge thank you to you for the training that saved a life!
Just wanted to reach out and say thank you. We just had a save at our Health club this morning on an unresponsive 3 year old totally blue….I kept hearing you say “You can’t kill them twice” as we gave chest compressions and rescue breaths… I couldn’t believe how much water came out of her little body. She went from unresponsive to breathing slightly and by the time she left with the EMT’s and Paramedics going to Sierra Vista she was answering her Grandmother and screaming in the back of the ambulance. Truly better to be lucky than good but thank you brother. Those beach videos from Australia were very helpful.
